That was the unfortunate fate of this email last weekend
I had anxiety like never before and it was one of many things that didn’t get done last weekend
It is completely paralysing
And also impossible to pinpoint on anything specific
So even harder to explain to someone else, even if all they want to do is help
No matter what I did I just could not work
I couldn’t do anything at all
I just sat and watched things pile up, stressing about what would happen when the things that I could be doing, don’t get done.
It is really frustrating, and amongst the worrying you start to beat yourself up about the stuff you’re not doing and could be doing
It helps to just do something, start the day with one thing, anything at all
Just start again
Don’t worry about the deadline that has passed, that email you should have responded to last week, just respond now

Last Monday was the first email I have missed since starting this over three and a half months ago
It was honestly such a low priority compared to other things stressing me, but missing it just put fuel on the fire of stuff I had failed to do…
…and yet these were things I could have done if I hadn’t sat there thinking about them
paralysed by anxiety.
Anyway, on a lighter note, we’re back.
