Hey all,
I’ve a really cool topic for you today, but first,
🥳
Tomorrow is New Years Eve! I can’t believe we have just two days left of the decade
Everyone has changed a lot in the last 10 years, anyone my age must truly appreciate how far we’ve come since entering 2010 midway through 6th class.
2019 has been crazy but also amazing, probably the best ever.
It takes a lot to step back and appreciate how far you’ve come, that is what I urge you to do.
Amidst all the hollow resolutions and false promises…
Take a minute to just process everything.
Look back at what you have accomplished this year, last year, this decade.
Stop striving to be someones elses version of perfect.
Every time we achieve our goals we immediately move forward, onwards and upwards, as fast as possible.
No wonder we get anxious and stressed at the slightest bump in the road…
We are wired to constantly seek more and never appreciate what we have or how far we’ve come.
🤝
Here’s to an even brighter future
Be proud of yourself.
I’m proud of you, thank you so much for joining me over the last 22 weeks of C’mere to me!!
❤️
I’ll see you in 2020 x
Anyway, C’mere to me…
Ever heard of Lil Miquela?
Real-life Sims here
Lil Miquela is a ‘virtual influencer’, whatever you want to call her, the main thing is she doesn’t actually exist…
Honestly, the entire concept of it freaks me out and that is the consensus from most people I’ve spoken to.
I started following her out of curiosity and weirdly also just to keep tabs on this entire thing, it is sort of scary yet some of the content is also quite cool.
I was first made aware of her by two LA filmmakers, Colin and Samir, when they produced a video about her (definitely worth a watch).
To be clear, Miquela is not a ‘bot’. This is not a machine controlling the account or acting for itself.
Instead, there is an entire company behind her, they go by the name Brud.
Brud is made up of designers, engineers, writers, stylists, and so much more. They are packed full of entertainment industry experience, music management and a lot of technical know-how. With staff pedigrees in Vice, Spotify, Microsoft and Lionsgate this is no garage business.
Her life is scripted and drawn out (literally), but concealed identity is nothing new in the world of music, infact it is actually a popular concept, take Sia for example.
“In January, TechCrunch reported that Lil Miquela’s creators had closed a $125 million investment round led by Spark Capital. Suddenly, virtual influencers were the future of ads. The future of fashion. The future of commerce.”

Whilst Miquela is the star, she is not the only character in the cast, the company behind her has two others ‘Blawko’ and ‘Bermuda’ (names are Instagram links).
She goes to real places and hangs out with real people.
Over the summer she ‘went’ to Coachella.
Samsung partnered with creators to launch their newest phone, one of which was Miquela…
Would you have known the girl on the left was completely CGI?
As Colin and Samir point out in their video, seeing her on Instagram is actually easy to comprehend, it is over on YouTube where things just get BIZZARE…
Miquela has released several songs and music videos, she can also be found vlogging and interacting with real people.
This is one of the weirdest interviews you’ll ever see, especially because this is not a joke, they are being dead serious, Miquela the ‘person’ is interviewing J Blavin, she even speaks Spanish in it.
I am both fascinated and creeped out.
My own food for thought:
Whatever about advertising the latest clothes, in theory, politicians could pay for Miquela to support them, like advertising but instead of products ‘ideology’ is up for grabs… after all, she’s not a real person with self-developed opinion…
Having said that, Miquela specifically has been progressive in her expressed views, as Colin & Samir point out, she promotes mental health awareness and marginalised communities, she has raised and donated money towards education and many great causes.
Therefore a deceitful Trump campaign partnership seems unlikely, but it is more the concept that is very scary.
I would love to hear your thoughts on her, simply reply ↩️
Smile 😊
I don’t know whether to smile or cry at my own inadequacy…
This is one of the most creative things I have ever seen.
Tatum Van Dam cleverly adjusted her resume whilst applying for an internship at Spotify.
If she doesn’t get the job I don’t know who will 🤷

Think 🤔🤯🌊
We'd never know if time ever paused and unpaused…
That’s all for now 🤙🏽
