Iāve spent the last month working on some exciting things that will hopefully all come to fruition very soon. First up though, Iāve got some brand new photo prints that will be live this Wednesday! šØAnyway,

The Learning Process.
Photographing a Galaxy
A few weeks ago, I watched this excellent video by Johnny Harris and Iāve been meaning to share it here.
As the saying goesā¦
The more you know, the more you realise how much you donāt know - the less you know, the more you think you know.
^read that slowly
On the surface this is about Johnnyās goal to photograph a galaxy, but beneath that, it is about the process of learning any difficult skill we are presented with.
The way he describes the mistakes, struggles and crucially the unknown ahead, resonated a lot with me, and Iām certain it would with you too.
(and I think Iād love to photograph a galaxy now)

TENET - Iām sure lots of you have seen it already but if not I highly recommend it.
As someone really interested in the actually film making process, I was blown away not only by the story and accurate physics but by how it was shot. It is a masterpiece.
I had the pleasure of seeing for the second time last night, in the Irish Film Institute, in full 70mm film, the only true IMax setup in Ireland, significantly better than Digital IMax. Itās a rare occasion that a blockbuster film is shot on 70mm or at least the majority of it, due to the sheer cost and logistics, so if youāre in Dublin, I highly recommend going to see it in the bigger, squarer format it was intended to be seen.
